SOCHUM is the Social, Cultural and Humanitarian Committee

This committee focuses on global issues related to human rights, social development, and cultural preservation. Subjects of discussion often encompass addressing gender inequality, combating human trafficking, promoting education and fundamental freedoms through the elimination of racism and racial discrimination, treating refugees, addressing concerns about womens' progress, dealing with indiginous issues and protecting cultural heritage. Delegates work on drafting resolutions that aim to improve social conditions, ensure human dignity, the right to self-determination, and foster international cooperation to uphold and advance humanitarian principles worldwide.
